How Indoor Skydiving Works
SkyVenture Arizona is a vertical wind tunnel with four 400 horsepower fans at the top, that pull air up into the flight chamber. Our wind tunnel simulates free fall at speeds up to 150 miles per hour. The air speed is controllable, providing you with just the right amount of airflow for optimal flight.
SkyVenture Arizona is not a ride or a simulator. You are actually flying!
There is NO sensation of falling. If you have a fear of heights or are apprehensive about jumping out of an airplane, but have always wanted to fly then SkyVenture Arizona is the place for you. No experience is necessary, just bring your sense of adventure. It is the perfect place to experience human flight in a controlled environment. You will fly just a few feet above the safety netting within arms reach of one of our highly trained instructors.

What to Expect
Check-In
When you arrive at the front desk you will be required to sign a waiver. If the participant is under 18, the Parental Release Form must be signed by a parent/guardian. If the parent/guardian is not in attendance the Parental Release Form must be signed and notarized. If you would like to purchase a USB of your flight just let our office staff know.
Training
After everyone has signed in you will go upstairs and meet your instructor. SkyVenture Arizona employs some of the most experienced tunnel instructors in the world. Before your flight experience, you along with a group of up to 12 people will have a brief training class. You will watch a short video that goes over body positions and the hand signals used. There are no loose items allowed in the flight chamber due to the damage that they may cause. Lockers are provided free of charge where you can place your belongings. Locker keys are placed in a safety lock box during your flight time.
Gear Up
All the flight equipment is included in your flight package. You will be fitted with a flight suit that fits over your clothing, as well as earplugs, knee and elbow pads, goggles and a helmet. Please wear shoes that lace up.
Ready, Set, Fly!
After your class has geared up it’s time to fly! You will line up at the tunnel entrance, and when the tunnel doors open you will take a seat in the anti-chamber room. When it is your turn to fly, you will stand in the open doorway and lean forward while your instructor guides you into the tunnel. You’ll immediately feel the wind support your body. Yes, you are flying! To exit the tunnel you will be assisted back to the doorway. You will grip the sides of the doorway and the instructor will guide you out.
Indoor Skydiving Requirements
For your safety and the safety of our instructors, please make sure you meet the following requirements:
Flyers must be at least 3 years old
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a signed Parental Release Form. If the parent/guardian will not be in attendance the release must be signed and notarized in order for the minor to participate.
240 lbs maximum if less than 6 ft tall
260 lbs maximum if over 6 ft tall
No prior shoulder dislocations
No casts are allowed in the tunnel
Women may not be pregnant
You cannot be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
You cannot have any other physical limitations that may impede your ability to take part in any physical activity.

Indoor Skydiving is not scary. It is an adrenaline rush! You will be flying only a few feet above the safety netting within arms reach of your instructor.
Indoor skydiving offers you the excitement of skydiving, without the jump. You will never have the sensation of falling or getting motion sick. You will be guided into the tunnel by one of our certified instructors and will float on a column of air.
You will all be part of the same group however; you will fly one at a time in the flight chamber. Actual classroom size varies. You will benefit from the one-on-one interaction with your instructor while the rest of your group watches.
For safety reasons tricks and flips are for experienced flyers only. Some flyers are able to do turns, move up and down, forward and backward during their first flight.
We have an observation area that is open for all First Time Flights and all non-military flights. Please keep in mind that when a military group is training we are closed for spectators. You can call prior to your arrival to see what spectator limitations are set for that date.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, nothing too constricting. You will be provided with a Flight Suit that goes over your clothing. Make sure that you have on athletic shoes. No opened toed shoes. All other gear is provided.
